What I Wore to the Vancouver Fashion Week SS20
Hey guys! Finally here to post about my current favorite trend and my experience at the Vancouver Fashion Week, SS20. I was invited to attend the show to promote a designer show at the fashion week and it was amazing! I was introduced to one of the designers, Myrthe van der Leden, an Amsterdam Fashion Academy graduate. With her talent and an eye for detail, she showcased her vision on the runway through her collection “TOPE”. This collection is inspired from North Korean Culture represented through a Western point of view.
Vancouver Fashion Week showcases more than just fashion. It is a celebration of creativity and diversity where they bring in designers from around the world including India, Japan, Australia, South Africa and France. The fashion week also focuses on emerging Canadian designers as well. All in all, it was an absolute blast!
As far as my look for the fashion week, I opted for Statement Sleeves. I am currently obsessed with puffy sleeves and I found this gorgeous leather top at Zara. What I love about this top was not just the sleeve but also the fact that it was leather. A perfect combination of sexy and chic! There are so many ways to style this top, which will be in my upcoming blog posts, so stay tuned 😉 and its my current favourite for Fall ’19.
I paired my leather top with these gorgeous high waist camel pants, which are also from Zara. These pants are super comfy and I just love the wide buckle belt which adds the oomph to the entire outfit! ( Post coming up on how to style these awesome tan pants).
Lastly, I finished the look with my favorite snakeskin purse from TopShop, white pumps from Calvin Klein, minimal jewelry and a super cute pearl hair clip.
